House Majority Leader backs Trump-endorsed conservative as momentum continues to build behind Letlow’s campaign across Louisiana
BATON ROUGE, LA — Congresswoman Julia Letlow, the Trump-endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate in Louisiana, today announced the endorsement from House Majority Leader Steve Scalise in her campaign for the United States Senate.
As one of the highest-ranking Republicans in the U.S. House and one of the most influential conservative leaders in the country, Scalise’s endorsement marks a significant moment in the race and further demonstrates that Louisiana Republicans are consolidating behind Letlow’s candidacy. The endorsement also reinforces Letlow’s position as the clear conservative choice in the race as momentum continues to build across the state behind her campaign, President Trump’s endorsement, and her proven America First record.
“Julia Letlow is a strong conservative fighter who has consistently delivered for Louisiana families, and for President Trump,” said Leader Scalise. “Julia shares the values that make Louisiana strong, and I trust her to be a powerful voice for our state in the United States Senate. I’m proud to endorse Julia Letlow because Louisiana deserves a senator who will fight for our conservative values and always put Louisiana and America First.”
“I am incredibly honored to earn the support of Majority Leader Steve Scalise,” said Rep. Letlow. “Leader Scalise has been a fearless conservative leader for Louisiana and our country, and I’m grateful for his mentorship and support in this race. Louisiana deserves a senator who will stand with President Trump, fight for our conservative values, and deliver real results for our state. That’s exactly what I will do in the United States Senate.”
President Donald Trump endorsed Letlow’s campaign earlier this year, calling her a strong conservative who will always stand with the America First movement. Since then, Letlow’s campaign has continued to build broad support from conservative leaders across Louisiana and the country, including Governor Jeff Landry, Attorney General Liz Murrill, and Monroe Mayor Friday Ellis, as momentum continues to grow behind her campaign for the United States Senate.
Letlow currently serves on the House Committee on Appropriations and the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, where she has fought for Louisiana families, parents, farmers, law enforcement, and energy workers. A Monroe native, mother of two, and former educator, Letlow was elected to Congress in 2021 and became the first Republican woman elected to Congress from Louisiana.
